Hello
Today we went to see Emma for the photo shoot for my book. How amazing! Seb was super cute and the relationship between Cat and Seb was truly beautiful and captured so successfully by Emma. Emma you are a star. I can't wait to see the photographs again. The difficulty I'll have is deciding which ones I shall keep for my book..I know I'll want so many of them but need to pick just 15 or 20. Oh no, I feel this is going to be tricky...I may have to enlist the support of others here.
I'm going back with Blossom to see Emma next Wednesday to take a few more shots for the book. Blossom is very excited and so am I!!
Thanks again to Cat, Seb, Nicole and Emma without your help this project wouldn't have been able to move forward with such ease. A huge THANK YOU to you all.
OK, I better get on with the manuscript or I simply won't meet my deadline of January 2011!
Warmest wishes for now
Vivien

The snow has melted and I'm 20,090 words in!
Hello all
It's been a few days since I caught up with you..so here's the news. All the snow has gone. I can now get my car on the drive and I've written 20,090 words towards my final manuscript.
Time is ticking by and I'm feeling suitably pleased with my efforts so far. I've given the partially completed manuscript to a couple of people and the feedback has been positive. My former colleague has described the book as 'pure magic'. Another colleague has said, 'I love it and can't wait to read more'.
I'm now visualising my book on many shelves, across many lands, in many languages!
Thank you Emma for agreeing to take the photos for the book. I'm looking forward to the photo shoot with you, Kat, Sebastian and Nicole on Wednesday.
Warmest wishes for now
Viv

Snow...and so much of it!
Hello
I thought I'd let you know the snow is piling up outside. It looks incredible here but I haven't been able to get out to see any clients. This has meant some more time at home working on my book and to play snow ball battles with Blossom and Vu.
I'm 17,000 words in to my book now. Isn't this exciting? I have a new title ready now too. I'll let you know a little later, at the same time as the pre launch publicity!
I have started working with Kat (lovely mum) and her wonderful baby son, Seb. In order for me to demonstrate my theories we are working together on the Case Study Section of the book. I will also be supporting Kat to develop her own early communication system with Seb. Seb is fantastic. The bond between Kat and Seb is truly beautiful. What an honour to work with such wonderful people.
Thank you Nicole for putting us in touch with one another. You are a star!
I better sign off for now, as I have lots of work to do on the book and am utilising my blog as a distraction technique!
Warmest wishes from this very snowy land

I've given my deadline for completion as January 2011....yikes!
Firstly John, thank you for your post. I am 13,875 words into my book and I begin working with a wonderful mother and her adorable eleven week old infant this Friday, 26th November 2010. I am writing a comprehensive section on Case Study findings taken from my findings and work with this mother and baby. We (the lovely mother and I) are both very excited about our work and we will be working intensively over the coming weeks.
Other good news is a wonder friend and former colleague (a Consultant Psychiatrist) has agreed to write the 'Foreward' to my book.
Also in January 2011, I hope to begin working with a film-maker interested in making a film about my work and findings.
Could working life be any better..I think not!
Warmest wishes to you all for now
Viv
PS I have an article going into the press soon, but I'll inform you about this a little later.
In answer to your question John I hope you will be able to buy my book in many stores across the globe and online line in the very near future!

Almost 10,000 words into my Baby Body Language Book and my graduation was wonderful!
Hello all
I thought I'd share with you my news.
Yesterday, I attended my graduation with Scarborough Psychotherapy Training Institute. What a wonderful day! A celebration of all that I (and others) have achieved. How wonderful to be given my certificate (Masters equivalent degree - Postgraduate Diploma in Integrative Psychotherapy). And this is indeed recognition of how hard I have worked to get it!!
I am also almost 10,000 words into my book about Baby Body Language. I am enjoying remembering and reflecting on my experience of nurturing Blossom. It's funny what comes back into my mind as I write my book.
Warmest wishes to you all for now.
Viv

My computer crashed...but all is well!
Morning all
I had a scary moment when my laptop crashed and I thought for just a second my little book was lost! Thanks to our wonderful computer engineer (Mick) all is now well. Let this be a lesson to me and all others who fail to back up their work on their computers!
Graduation on Saturday, how lovely!
All is moving forward in the right direction. I'm still up to about 8,000 words in my book, I think the laptop incident gave me a fright and stopped my creative juices flowing, but only for a little while!
What are you guys up to? Any news?
Warm wishes Viv

Breathing a sigh of relief, writing my book &, I've been commissioned to work with a mother and infant to explain and demonstrate my theories!
Hello
I'm back! My clinical finals are behind me (I hope). I am awaiting my results. This of course is both exciting and anxiety provoking. Oh well, I'm sure I can contain both of these emotions, for a while at least! Afterall, I am a Psychotherapist!
I am in the process of writing a little, easy to read book. The book relates to my infant communication findings. I'm thinking about calling the book, Infant Communication - Your guide to understanding your baby's body language. I had considered a number of more humourous titles, but have chosen this as it clearly explains what my book is all about.
In addition to the book news, I have been commissioned to work with a mother and baby, to explain, specifically my theories in relation to 'all that is non verbal', and to guide the family through learning all about their baby's body language. We (my clients and I) are very excited about our work ahead. We have agreed, I may utilise some of the findings in a Case Study Section of my book.
I am also working on a piece of qualitative research into Postnatal Depression. I hope this will be published in the new year. I'll keep you posted about this.
So my life is busy, full and good. And how are you? Much warmth Viv

Moving my research forward and finding a mum (or dad) and infant to support
Hello all and thank you for all your comments regarding my research and my article "Speaking in Tongues."
Sorry for not specifically responding to Rosalind, Paula, Kate and Nyasha and thank you for your thought provoking insights. No excuse, I know but I've been busy working on the next stage of my plan to get the world to recognise the importance of understanding pre-verbal communication in support of a solid foundation for mental health and well-being and supporting beautiful relationships to grow and develop further.
I have now decided to move on to the next stage of my research. How exciting is this!!
Right now I'm thinking of you Viki rubbing your hands together with glee and excitement...I know you know you do this! Your non-verbal communication is wonderful!
For those of you that know me you know how exciting this is for me, and for those of you that don't know me then watch this space!
I am going to contact the local press to see if I can volunteer my clinical services to work with a new mum or dad and their infant. I will offer my clinical observation skills and all that is me to support them to further build a more contactful and wonderfully attuned relationship. I will then carefully note down my findings and utilise this to write further about the work around pre-verbal communication and the development of relationship as a result.
I wonder if you know of anyone local to me that needs some support? I am wondering about a mum with the symptoms of post natal depression who could really do with some support and imput at no cost to them.
Let's face it... there really isn't enough support for those of us that experience the symptoms of post natal depression and if I can offer a free service then I'm hopeful I'll find a someone to support. Mmmm... was that a political statement about a lack of service provision??
If any of you have any ideas I would be very appreciative. Let's see what the local press can do to support me to find someone who could really benefit from the shared experience.
Much warmth to you for now Viv - a very excited mum and psychotherapist
